Final words:

OmniDate is taking off on the success of Second Life by integrating virtual avatars which is an exciting concept, using avatars to virtually date your prospective partner before meeting offline. However the fact that the site makes no effort to include lesbians or gays is a definite black mark against it. It will be interesting to see how the virtual dating using avatars works out.
